I know this is an old thread but.............

Thanks for the tip about Hiren's Boot CD. It's new to me. Their site is at http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/
The current version is 14.0 and the screenshots page at their site shows the vast array of tools included.

There is also a comprehensive guide to making it boot from a USB drive, along with DL links for the tools required to do it at http://www.hirensbootcd.org/usb-booting/
I've grabbed all the files and might try to make the USB version tonight if I have time.

Edit:
Made the USB bootable drive earlier. Using Hiren's instructions and mounting the program's ISO rather than burning it, it took 5-10 minutes. Have had a quick look over the various tools and it's a very impressive package. The "Mini Windows XP" app will probably see my CD version of BartXP redundant. For what its worth, BartPE is an amazing tool in itself and has saved me more times than I can recall.
