Welcome to the TC Computers Forum! The TC Computers Forum is an open conversation with many voices and views. We value our diversity and your freedom here, but have found that to best serve all of our members and interests we need to work within the guidelines. The TC Computers Forum is not a place for spam, porn, harassing other users, hooking up with people for sex, advertising, or anything else not in the spirit of The TC Computers Forum. Posts violating this will be deleted, and the accounts of repeat offenders will be terminated at the discretion of the Admin and staff. Please respect all members and staff. Direct all complaints and disagreements to moderators (green names) or the Admin (orange names). The public forums are not a place for resolving these issues. All members of the The TC Computers Forum are asked to help monitor. If you find a post that is offensive, please do not bring more attention to it by continuing to post in the thread. Simply flag the post and it will be dealt with accordingly when the moderator signs on. In the case of trolling, it is requested that you take the same actions. Trolls post for attention. Simply flag their posts and ignore them. Interaction with them can lead to greater problems for everyone. The TC Computers Forum is not a place for personal attacks. Insulting another user will not be tolerated. Derogatory comments and name calling can result in the cancellation of your account. Upon the first offense, you will be warned. If we receive repeated complaints about your username or several of your posts are flagged, your account will be terminated. If you are attacked by another user, this is not grounds for you to attack back. If you insult the attacker back, you will also be warned and at risk for the cancellation of your account. The definition of a personal attack is subject to the feelings of the “victim” and the opinions of other members and the staff. Do not quote offensive posts. When referencing a derogatory post someone made, please do not quote the post. As previously stated, you should not even be giving an offensive poster attention, but in the event that you post to tell people to ignore the user , please do not quote the post in question. It just creates more work for the management when they have to edit not only the post in question, but also all subsequent posts in which it is quoted. Do not post about disliking a member of The TC Computers Forum. Posting about hating a member on the board, even without naming names, is most likely going to cause unnecessary turmoil. Please use your best judgment when posting about other members on the board. Disagreeing with a user is okay. Having and voicing a different opinion from someone is perfectly acceptable. However, please do so in a constructive and respectful manner. Harassing a user because of their opinion is grounds for the termination of your account. The definition of harassment is subject to the feelings of the “victim” and the opinions of the other members and the staff. Use the “Contact Management” feature. If a user is harassing you, please use the “Contact Management” feature and block the user. If you feel violated or the user has harassed other members, please alert the Admin. for further action. Look for an appropriate forum. When posting, ask yourself if the post is going to be placed in the best-suited forum for it. Is it relevant? Would it fit better in another forum? Posts may be moved to more appropriate forums at the discretion of the Admin and staff. See if a thread with a topic has already been created. Even though a general topic idea may be new to you, there could already be an established thread with users commenting. If you really do not find the topic already posted, then start a new thread. This helps to keep the forums less cluttered and to keep conversation about a certain topic all in one place. Repeated posts may be deleted. Please do not post the same content in multiple threads on different forums, especially if it is an unrelated forum. If you spend the majority of your time in more than one forum and want to share specific information with certain users of the forum, this is not a problem. Multiple posting in every forum may lead to further action. Any and all decisions are at at the discretion of the Admin and staff, Admins and Staff decisions are FINAL. Kind Regards Management |
