Yep. Turned up.

Goes very nice, Hugs the track, Alot faster than the afx mag chassis, as it's like the tomy chassis.

Ahh now thats different.

Super 3 = Holden

Tyco 440 = Ford

And you know fords win.
It no way as fast as the 440's I have here.

Post Re: AFX Hobby
Preemo,

Finally I've fond some time where my camera and computer have been in the same place at the same time. Here's the photos of my power tracks that I promised you.

It's Tomy AFX 15'' straights, with 1mm tru-rip (light gauge speaker wire) wire soldered to the terminals. Tru-rip is dirt cheap and plenty fat enough to run slot cars properly, Jaycar will sell you a 30m roll for about $16 (http://www.jaycar.co.nz CAT. NO. WB1703). To solder to the track, 1st get a wet towel on lay the track on that. This is a rather important step that the first time I did this I didn't take into account, and it went a pear shaped. I used a rosin cored lead solder and a solder flux the first time, and it worked alright. The second time I used silver solder, it sticks to the rails at a lower temperature so less chance of melting the plastic track.

I've used a Molex 4 pin connector to let me have a bit of flexibility when changing my track around, but in hindsight I think I'd just use a piece of chocolate block (or strip connector as I think it's called these days). I'd also make the wires about 30cm longer.

I can't show you any photos of the power distribution block as my tracks currently in pieces as I move workshops. I set it up the same way as recommended by hoslotcarracing.com using strip connector. I'm looking to make it an integrated circuit to keep it nice and tidy.
